Cowslips on the school run

Today we took and fetched Violet to and from school and at each end of the day I took a few shots of these cowslips, which cover the banks on one side of the road. It was dull this morning and I'd hoped it might be brighter this afternoon but the sky remained overcast.  No matter, these  cheery little flowers look bright in any light.
