Smardale Gill Viaduct ( Coast to Coast #4)

I spent most of today exploring some disused railway lines around Kirkby Stephen. This is the very wonderful old Smardale Gilll viaduct that is now part of a footpath through the Smardale Gill nature reserve. If you  are interested you can read its history here. 
I've run out of time today for a collage and I'll post just one extra. I've never before seen a sign post with furlongs. Spotted this afternoon while wandering round Kirkby Stephen
Total number of steps today- 21,000 and sore feet. 
  Mr P walked 33km and 34,000 steps.
