We heard the crash

This downy slammed into the window so we went outside expecting it to be dead as it was a hard hit. He was still breathing and his eyes fluttering. Jerry held it for about five minutes then it fluttered a little.  We dribbled a little water on its beak and it did open and close its beak like it was taking some in.  It fluttered once more and tried to stand but only one claw was open.  We decided to set it on a stump that we could see from the house to let it recover a little more.  We were encouraged as it is turning its head a little and blinking.  

It has been about 45 minutes now and he is still there but seems to be a little fluffier and is moving its head.   It has moved a little from where Jerry sat him. We will check on it again before dark.

Please fly away little bird!

P. S.   Yeah!!!  We checked after an hour and he was gone from the stump!!
