Rock Hopper
Another chance encounter, this time a Spotted Sandpiper. They have a distinctive movement of teetering back and forth as though having a twitch. This one is a breeding adult. Research revealed that unusually the males take care of parental duties.
I was reasonably close and didn't have to crop too much. Unfortunately I missed focus on the bird, although the rocks are nice and sharp. Note to self - find out how auto focus and tracking work.
