Croscombe Church
Early English, Norman and 15th Century - with a stunning wagon roof (1400), huge brass chandelier and Jacobean pews which were so deep the occupants couldn't see who else might be sleeping - except for the vicar from his high rise pulpit. In the SW corner was a meeting room for the Guilds of the village in early 1500 - The Young Men, Maidens, Webbers (weavers)l Fullers, Hogglers (labourers), Archers and Wives!
