Yellow rape field

What should have happened:

11:00: travel to the Lammermuir Hills with Katharine and Jack for a birdwatching walk
Late pm: return to Jack's house for tea and cakes
Evening: curry

What actually happened:

Jack realised that the electrician who didn't turn up yesterday was meant to come today instead.
On arrival at Jack's house at 12:30, the electrician declared Jack's electricity set-up unsafe. He immediately made an emergency call to the supplier, who came to the house straightaway.
Walk was cancelled.
hazelh and Mr hazelh swapped birdwatching walk in East Lothian for bike ride to South Queensferry (and blip fields of rape)
All four met for curry on Leith Walk in the evening.

Exercise today: 22.5 mile bike ride.
