Its a dogs life

Parked the car in town, to make me start using my legs as a lead in to my physio work due to start sometime next week, decided to walk through Marbury Park wood but as you can see me and Daisy are no longer fit enough for this length of walk and needed a couple of 5 minute rest points along the way - well worth it to feel I'm getting somewhere but the legs are telling me take it easy on thursday.
As for Marbury park - North of Northwich and off to the side of Anderton boat lift, Marbury park sits alongside Budworth Mere, the park was formerly a country estate owned by the Smith-Barry family but it became derelict and Marbury Hall was demolished in 1968. The site was handed over by ICI at the time and reclaimed in 1975, it is now run as a country park by Cheshire West and Chester Council. The woodland is part of the Mersey Forest. When summer comes along hopefully I will blip the avenues of lime trees which remain from former times. An area of ancient woodland known as Big Wood has a variety of woodland birds including lesser spotted woodpecker, barn owls are making a comeback in the area and i noticed today lots of bat boxes in the trees alongside the Trent & Mersey canal.
The times they are a changing you need to pay & display when you park in the roads around the park area - how very dare you anything to bring the coffers in
