Publisher's Request

My French publisher emailed me this morning asking for a photograph of me holding my new book, "La gardienne de Mona Lisa" (The Night Gate), which comes out here in France next week.  This is what, God forgive me, I sent.  It's almost impossible to look "natural" in this sort of selfie.

Earlier in the week I produced a two minute video of me talking (badly) in French about the book.  Such things one has to do!

The best thing, though, is that I will be doing a book signing on the terrace of the house which features in the book itself - and it's just five minutes away from where I live.
