Tarn Hows

A much better day today, although Mum wasn’t feeling too good after a really bad nights sleep. We had planned to go for a walk around Tarn Hows, but she wasn’t up to it, so we just sat on a rock at the top of the hill and soaked up the wonderful view. 
We had a delicious brie and bacon toastie at The Bluebird Cafe at Coniston and some great tasting ice cream at Tarn Hows. 
This evening we all gathered together and had  our traditional last evening game of Ave Caesar. Since there are so many of us, we need to split into two games and then play a “final” to determine the overall winner. I made it to the final, but was then beheaded for not paying Caesar after being stitched up by my own husband!!! 
I ended up fourth, just behind my husband.  

It’s been a lovely week and we are now all looking forward to next years gathering which will be in Cornwall.
