Memories

I used to head up the A23 to sarf Lahndan (that's me southern accent innit), to places like Thornton Heath and Coulsdon and Streatham. Thus Purley Cross at rush hour isn't a new experience but having done it tonight I'm reminded that it's not an experience that I've missed this 20 odd years where I've not needed to do it. This shot shows some logos on the side of a transit van with whom I enjoyed some old-school wheel arch rubbing as we jostled for lanes. We didn't actually touch and I knew, as soon as I saw the clean paintwork on his van, that I'd get through in front - he'd not want to get too close to my shabby motor.
