A life lived backwards

By GailyWhaley

It was probably foolhardy but we went to Lagos on the train. Me, Beloved, a backpack and hundreds of other people. Portuguese railway carriages are designed for fit athletic types.

I managed but needed two large G &T's on my return.

On the return journey there were a few people without masks (mandatory on public transport here). As I had a whole load I gave them to the conductor who had been making the maskless stand in the carriage with the bicycles. He came back with a euro . My act of kindness (so I thought) had turned into a commercial transaction and a discussion on economics.

I'm going to stick to walking and pushing the wheelchair.
