Milford Sound on a rainy day

This is the first time we have been here when the weather was not brilliant and what a treat that was. We drove from Te Anau this morning and explored most of the features on the way (lots) but found the inclement weather to be totally fab. Milford was quiet. There were 28 bus stops at the marine end of things and 1 lone bus and the Cafe (in town) was deserted at the time we were there about lunchtime but did a great ham and cheese toasted sandy. If you drive to Milford Sound the Homer Tunnel (Extra) gets in the way and if you stop on the Milford side Mr Kea  will happily remove your windscreen rubber while you wait. (Extra from The Bossess).
