Derelict house

My friend and former work colleague the Other M and I took a trip to a western suburb of Sydney where we used to work. There has been a lot of development in this area since then as it is fast becoming a centre for commerce and public service, a new 'big end of town', away from Sydney's CBD. Maybe one day! The new buildings a very tall, glassy and look like they've been thrown up in a hurry, not attractive in my view.

Around the back streets there remain a few sights like the one in my blip. Some of these dilapidated houses are occupied, others are being demolished. They can't last. The monsters are encroaching.

I liked this one for the colour scheme, the wild pumpkin or similar growing in the front yard and the string of sad flags.
