Saturday...

I'm spoilt for choice for my blip today. I had a very lovely early morning walk around the res and lanes. It was so calm that you could hear a pin drop - quite windy now though. Birdsong was everywhere and glorious. My fave bit was watching two great spotted woodpeckers. I heard them drumming all around the res. When I got to where they were, there's one that's excavating a hole and then there were two, and they mated! I put the mating in the extra for a bit of decorum. I've never seen woodpecker mating before :)
