Carpenter Bee

The sun has been out today and it’s felt like a more normal day for this time of year in Andalucia. I saw the first carpenter bees, out gathering pollen and sunning themselves. They are so handsome and docile and I admire their beauty but they can make an awful mess of the bamboo thatching and wood on outdoor patios if left unchecked. We can hear them crunching!
