Wild garlic
And a bluebell. I was back in Woolley Wood before 7 this morning, hoping to catch some gentle early morning sunlight. It was very peaceful. Both the wild garlic and the bluebells are perfect at the moment - there's been no heavy rain to beat them down.
Afterwards I listened to the latest episode of Andrey Kurkov's Letter from Ukraine. It's called 'A Tale of Rooster Tosha and the War' - link here:

Somehow, Andrei Kurkov manages to draw out wonderful, kindly observations from the continuing tragedy in his homeland. At the same time, he doesn't shy away from the horror. In this episode, both the rooster of the title (now a refugee, with his elderly human companion) and the joys of spring planting feature prominently.
