Upton Revisited

The Upton-upon-Severn folk festival is on again this year, after a break of two years due to Covid. Mrsfb wanted to go today as her old side Nancy Butterfly were there and she thought it would be nice to see them again. There were only two people we knew though, not surprising really as she left them 25 years ago. It was a gorgeous day (the forecast is not so good tomorrow) but it didn't seem as busy to me as in previous years. We managed to park very easily for instance which is always a sign, and the hot pork roll and ice cream queues were much smaller.

There were lots of dancers though, with an abundance of bells and sticks. Strangely we didn't see any Cotswold sides this year, it was mainly border (no blacked faces this year), north west clog and various novelty sides. But no belly dancers this year! Maybe they will be there tomorrow.

The main blip is of musicians from two sides who combined for a joint dance. Focus stacked, only two images though. The first extra is a border side dancing under the main bridge, the other two are Nancy Butterfly, dancers and musicians.
