Overnighting above Loch Tulla
We left home in summer sunshine and summer clothes. By the time we got to Edinburgh by-pass it was cool and cloudy. When we reached our lunch spot at the Kelpies it was raining, which it has continued to do since.
We enjoyed our walk around the Kelpies then headed for the Pineapple House. However the driveway was narrow with a sign saying there was nowhere to turn round so we gave it a miss. We might see if there’s a place nearby to park and walk to it. Apparently the gardens are NT and there is parking but Mr C didn’t want to risk it.
We are parking overnight above Loch Tulla with a few other vans. There’s snow on the north-facing slopes of the hills, though the tops are still shrouded in cloud. It’s nice to be snug in the van.
Two ferries tomorrow, neither of which we have used before, so we are hoping for an improvement in the weather so that we can enjoy the new route and the views it will offer as last time we went from Oban.
