Cowslips in the orchard
At Oxburgh today. The walled garden has an orchard in which the grass is not cut until late summer when they have a ‘scything day’, cutting it with the old scythes. Meanwhile the wild flowers take over - and the bees love it. At the moment the Cowslips are at their peak - beautiful!
The house itself is almost free of scaffolding and the moat was mirror calm - a real ‘guidebook’ photo - see extra.
