A quiet evening reading

One of the good things about moving books from one House to another, is that I realise that I've had this book for quite some time and not previously read it. I've long been an admirer of Julian Baggini, and already I am finding myself in agreement with how he approached this topic of the self.

When I wrote a sort of memoir incorporating a selection of my photos (for presentation at a reunion), I commented that the continuity of the self is something like the proverbial grandfather's axe. Baggini (so far) is putting forward a similar mix of continuity and difference.

I anticipate much further enjoyment lies ahead.
