The Ruscombe valley in springtime

Today I visited Philip B. at his house on the upper east-facing slope of the Ruscombe valley. This valley's stream forms one of the Five Valleys which all join together close to the town centre. The springs which become the Ruscombe Brook are located high up the top of the combe where the spring line is marked by the settlement along the road just above it.

We had good fun catching up once again and Philip prepared tow different specialist coffees, one of which was Japanese, and both were delicious. We stayed indoors as the weather had turned and the thick clouds kept the temperature down as well as darkening the daylight.

I left his house and when I saw this view I pulled over and jumped out to take a few snaps, as I love the sight of this classic Cotswold view. the woodlands running along the edge of the hilltops are ancient and have extensive bluebell and wild garlic vistas. I'm hoping to go walking in Randwick woods at the weekend with Helena now that she is back from her holiday on the island of Madeira.
