Kaleidoscope World
~ priceless time
This morning Mrs M, The King, Enzo and I drove to Southwell. Mrs M walked Enzo back across the fields.
Nature
TK and I went to the swings, then relaxed, listened and watched in one of fenced off micro nature reserves scattering seeds for the mallards and moorhens, throwing grass cuttings, collecting and at TKs suggestion picked up the odd micro litter item. Birdsong, the Minster peel and the noise of nearby girls football matches filled the air.
Minster
To my surprise TK as if we could visit Grandpa's church (meaning the Minster); all churches are currently described as such. Perfect timing we entered the Crossing (South) to catch the end of the service and the procession of robed priests and choristers passing at the side of us through the screen and assembling in the quire (or choir). TK kept quiet as requested and listened and looked in awe all that surrounded him.
Three magical hours spent for both of us. I was amazed how calm and patient he was throughout, and so pleased he enjoyed nature and the magic of the cathedral.
..as was the whole time during the sleepover.
