By the canal

We walked by the canal at Edstone aqueduct this evening. There were lots of wild flowers. The canal was lined with cowslips and there were lots of bluebells by the hedgerow. The cow parsley has just started to come out too. We saw a large heron flying over. Lots of ducks, one female duck had seven very cute little ducklings following her as she swam across the canal. There were a couple of geese flying over too and we heard a woodpecker hammering away at a tree. The dogs had a great time sniffing and snuffling around at all the scents as we passed by.
