I made a quick trip to Eastern Passage this afternoon. I do not want to wear a winter jacket on May 1!  So it was a quick stop to take a few photos, then headed for home again.
I have a brunch group for singles over 50, we go to various restaurants every Sunday. We have 20 - 25 people come out each week. Today we were at a new to us restaurant. One cook didn't show up for work today so that made them slow getting the food out to us. Overall the service was good and the food is good, so we will go back again. The manager knows what we expect now, and they want to keep us coming there. The reservations are made 2 - 3 months in advance, so they know we are coming.
Over the past 2 years, we have had several new members join and many of them have become regulars. One of them told me today that she had been out with a meetup group during the week and she received a lecture when she admitted that she had been out with my group. The organizer told her she could be carrying germs from my group into his group. She responded that she could be carrying germs from the grocery store in to his group too. He asked her if she wore a mask and she told him no. She told me that she prefers my group, since everyone talks to everyone else. The other group can be very cliquish. I knew that some in the other group had been bad mouthing my group, and their names got removed from my email list. People like my group, people know that if any drama gets started, it gets dealt with immediately.
