Sue will be 76 tomorrow

...and today we had an early birthday cake celebration with her sister who bakes and also blips occasionally as RavensRoost. 

I had planned to take them both out for dessert at our favorite birthday restaurant, but the staff has Covid and the restaurant has closed for a few days. More people I know have Covid now than at any time during the pandemic, although we no longer have any kind of mandates for anything, and the numbers are not being counted.

As it happened, we had a better dessert than any restaurant has to offer. Peg made a vanilla cake with marionberry filling and orange icing. We also had more fun because we could take our time, tell stories, play cards, and catch up on what's happening in Peg's life. (Extras of the two sisters and the cake.)
