Amandine's Plot Treize

New lupin plants

Two (possibly three) of my lupins didn't come up at the start of spring so I checked for roots and it looks like they didn't make it through the winter.

I got replacement plants from the garden centre (I enjoy growing lupins from seed but I just didn't fancy the 2-year wait this time!) and it was a delight to plant them in my no-dig flower border at the front, which, despite having never been watered during the dry spell, had perfectly moist and wormy soil. I guess autumn manure + woodchip mulch are a good combo!
