Alderney Break!

Today we travelled to a small island called Alderney (part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey) for a short break. The boat we came in is very small and takes only 8 passengers. I won a return trip for one on it! Today there were only 4 of us. It’s called the “Salty Blonde”. Blonde is a famous word here as they are one of the only places to have Blonde Hedgehogs. We were given a lift up the hill by a very kind man who saw us struggling up the hill with our cases. Our B&B is lovely. So peaceful … only birdsong. A 10 min walk and we were in the small town. Had a lovely lunch and bought freshly made sandwiches for tea. We took a long walk back to the B&B where we sat on our private decking are and read and dozed! Just what we need!
