Fob watch

This is a fob watch that has a tragic and heartbreakingly sad story attached to it. I may have blipped images of this before so apologies for doing so again.

As you can see, it is a Rolex. It is an early Rolex. It is hallmarked 1924, just 5 years after Rolex started to make watches in Switzerland in 1919. 
The watch was imported and a branded watch face added by the jeweller  when it was bought by my great uncle.

I won't repeat the details of the horrors attached to the watch, but, it was and remains a source of great sadness in the family. It, not surprisingly is of some value. But, it can never be sold.
