Something I'd not noticed.
I have an appointment with "The vampires" on Wednesday; desperately trying to get donations = to age. Must try to remember to take a closer look.
Previously I've seen this hedge as being Beech, i.e. Fagus Sylvatica; having checked I only learnt of two variants:-
1. Fagus Sylvatica.
2. Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea
A later search unearthed Fasatigiate and pendulous varieties, not to mention "Golden".
However, after seeing this patchy collection I'll certainly have to have a closer look to see if there's any Hornbeam amongst them, to account for different leafing Calendar?
LOOKS "universally same"?
