Bank Holiday pick me up

I had quite a fed up feeling pretty much all day. Fed up/unsatisfied about the van (eBay bidder pulled out…well I presume so as he just never got in touch again), about school planning stuff that I was doing, about not getting stuff done for mom, about not getting stuff done here, about the wrong thing being sent by Amazon, about not spending the time training/building bond with Scout that I want to, about not getting crochet done, about having a fed up ‘holiday’ day and then it being grey and rainy.
It was just one of those days.
Cathie said she needed to go out into the country for a walk at about 5pm. I said yes but quickly then asked if she’d like to go for a swim as I realised I really needed one. She wanted to go to Janet’s Foss so that’s where we went.
Ahhhh! It was so beautiful walking up to it and Scout got to run free the whole way (apart from just one field with sheep).
There were two other swimmers changing just as we got there. They had both been in and were getting out by the time Cathie went in. I stayed out with Scout for a bit then when she was playing in the water with Cathie I got changed.
Ahhhh! The pool is so low you can almost walk all the way to the fall. It’s just the last little bit by the rock that goes deep. But it was still swimable and just dippable!I did get my head under the water but not under the fall this time. I could not bring myself to do that this time I think maybe cause I played with Scout on the edge for too long.
But it was lovely. And the walk back was just as lovely even although the rain had started again.
We picked up a Chinese takeaway on the way home.
So the day ended well and not fed up! :)
