Wine Tasting
Having packed up the van for the last time in Lincoln, we drove down to Birmingham. First stop was to take Bryn out for a cake and milkshake at his local Asda coffee house, then we stopped off briefly to see Debbie, Sam, Zion, Allegra and Paul. They were getting ready for a Venezuelan family who were coming for lunch but it was lovely to see them briefly. I stopped for a 5 minute doorstep chat at Geoff and Helene’s house on my way to meet up with David, who had gone ahead to do some BG work at Quinto Lounge. We met Beth there who was on her way to her birthday lunch with some friends.
Then we drove down to Sherbourne to see Kevin at work. There was a “Love Food Festival” where he was selling Shawbury wine. We did sit down and sample some delicious wines after wandering round the show to look at all the other foodie type stands and sampling only a few as we knew there was a good dinner coming up later, so we had to leave room.
Then we made our way to the Indigo Hotel in Stratford - a city with so much history and beautiful Tudor buildings. After a refreshing shower we went downstairs to the bar for a pre dinner drink and then on to a wonderful dinner at Lambs Restaurant.
Another day full of friends and family, good food and good wine. We are so richly blessed!
