Spent the day at my kitchen desk in online meetings. Packed day with just enough time between meetings to take Paisley down to the garden a couple of times where she sought out some leaves to eat (looked like ‘sticky bud’ ones) and I enjoyed the bluebells which have sprung up all around.
Dashed over to the first of the Gifford lecture series… exploring the unfashionable concept of heroism and considering why we don’t talk about heroes nowadays (although interesting to see the Zelensky coverage of late with its strong hero narrative). Afterwards we had dinner with the speaker, Susan Neiman. Disappointing food at Hotel du Vin so I won’t be going back, but few restaurants are open on a Monday evening.
Home to catch up with A who didn’t go swimming this evening as she’d planned to….we both need to get into gear with the exercise!
