Damp

The joys of Scotland in May continued this morning. Under the lightest of  drizzle (Scotch mist), and with the Pentlands in the clouds, I walked Django around Penicuik first thing. This dandelion summed up the experience.

Afterwards, I did get some marking done, but not as much as I might, as I was preoccupied with restoring relations with a collaborator who had been very upset by our funding proposal - since it seemed to be damning a major project that he heads. In the end it wasn't nearly so bad once he'd read the proposal properly and spoken about it with other people. Hence, at the end of the day we were able to have a reasonably pleasant chat.
