Broughton St Mary’s

Work again today, so not much chance of a Blip. This church is on the route I took home tonight and is looking rather good after some refurbishment.

Refurbishment continues in our office building - not without a few hitches. I came back this afternoon with my boss after a meeting elsewhere to find the painters having a confab at the door. It appeared that the carpet fitters who were doing work on the second floor had put a nail through a central heating pipe and water had leaked through into the newly decorated swanky salon on the first floor. Fortunately, the painters seem to have noticed the problem fairly quickly, but not before the carpet fitters had disappeared.

Ho hum … no heating tomorrow for a while until this gets fixed. Just as well it’s pretty warm in the building at the moment.

You would think that carpet fitters would be more savvy about this sort of thing, wouldn’t you?
