A sunny afternoon gardening
After a cloudy morning, the sun came out this afternoon when I was doing a few things in the garden, including putting some feed on the lawn in hope that we get some rain overnight / tomorrow. All but one of the blue tit eggs has now hatched. I’d read, but not seen until today, that the female often eats the broken shells for the nutrients in them. The good news is that the male has started bring in food for the hatchlings.
Day 775 / Day 66 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
A UK study has found that after overcoming a severe Covid infection, people suffer the same cognitive impairment that happens between the age of 50 and 70, equivalent to losing 10 IQ points. At best, cognitive recovery was found to be gradual. People with mild cases may also be affected. Symptoms include fatigue, brain fog, difficulty finding words, slower processing speeds and even PTSD.
