Barrier Pipe

A lot of allotment holders on my site have "hoops" over their plants supporting netting. After some research I had found some available to buy, provided that you ignored the detail that they were out of stock.

I spoke to one of my neighbours who told me that he used (as did others on the site) sections of barrier pipe, some mount them on wooden frames, he just used sticks pushed into the ground. I collected some today and had a jolly hour cutting 50m of pipe into 30 pieces, all ready for some to go in tomorrow.

I'm not sure that this solution was any cheaper, but it was available.
