Should I??

It's not every day that John Lewis encourages customers to slide down the bannister ....

in the city today, in the middle of the city, shopping for birthday presents. Why are so many people born in May? Why is John Lewis so utterly changed from the temple of beigeness at the top of Leith Walk?  

Add to that a visit to Ikea to buy pillows and cutlery and all sorts of domestic implements for the Motorhome ... you will understand why I am now gibbering ... I'm just not used to all these people ....

But I enjoyed it. Next time I may pluck up the courage to get on a bus.
