St Katherine's Dock

A busy day in London, attending trading-technology meeting in Docklands in the morning and then back to Lawyerville in the afternoon and evening. No time for a photo until I got back to the hotel.

I'm in the Tower Hotel, and this is view from my bedroom looking east over St Katherine's Dock with the towers of Canary Wharf visible on the horizon. When I worked in the City full-time, I rented a room in a flat that's visible at the end of the road on the right-hand side of the picture.

The hotel is filling up with people here for the London Marathon on Sunday. It's been years since I last ran a marathon; my feet won't take another one but I'd so much loved to have run London.
