Cactus Flower
and a visitor.
My entry for tiny Tuesday...for the bee but even more for the flower. It's on a Santa Rita prickly pear cactus which produces very small, but vibrant flowers. One of the really interesting things about this species is that the more it gets stressed (i.e. lack of moisture) the more purple it gets. Last note about cactus flowers in general: they produce an immense amount of pollen. Thanks to H0tamer for hosting.
Good news. The nerve block for the occipital neuralgia was successful so those hot poker in the skull headaches have disappeared. What a relief. The temperatures have moderated somewhat and are hanging around 88°-90°/31.5°. The sun broke through today only briefly, enough time to take the photo and provide for the backyard birds. I've been pretty lax about it lately. Gotta go...thanks for all of your recent support! Love you all. ❤️
