Several days later

When a few days away feels timeless, like you've been away for ages, you know it's special. This has been one of those sorts of breaks.

Today the cousins went their separate ways. First we had to get the flight from Invercargill to Christchurch of the ground. All day fog in Canterbury made it tricky but 4 of us eventually made it.

Glenys and Jim will be rattling around their lovely home tonight with no guests. What generous hospitality. Andrew and Avril will be nearly home to Palmerston North. And hpx is ready for an early night.

There was really no chance of quietly slipping into a new decade. I'm glad it's been that way.
