Incredible Beauty!
Today, I spent some time at the Children's Museum of Play in Rochester. One of the big draws for me was the butterfly garden. I had heard about this garden but never seemed to find time to get there. What a treasure this is!
The garden is registered with the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and according to regulations, guests are limited to a certain number and can only visit for twenty minutes. This was a bit discouraging, but it was like being in Paradise in the garden! There were so many butterflies...(around 800) and so many exotic flowers! How I admire the people who work there!
I am not sure what this butterfly's proper name is. The display houses butterflies from all around the world!
The museum was so much fun. My biggest regret is that I never took my kids there! I noticed that the parents were enjoying the displays and such as much as the kids did.
I did a good deed while visiting as well! I overheard a mother telling employees her two year old had wandered off from her. My heart sank, so I kept my eyes peeled. Sure enough, I saw a little boy walking around, looking as though no adult was with him. I told a worker I thought he might be the missing boy and sure enough, he was! It was heartwarming seeing mother and son rush to one another's arms!
