How many buses?
The consequence of multiple road closures and redirections in Edinburgh is that the Mound has become a bus park. No wonder it can take half an hour to get from Chambers Street to George St, probably a 20 minute walk tops. To the right of the bus queue work is continuing on the new galleries under the National Gallery. This has been underway for 3, or 4 years now.
I was in town to visit the dental hygienist (gold stars!) and the first session of this term's acting class. That was after I'd swum (only 45 mins today) and had the roofer round to talk rooflights. In between dentist and the Lyceum I had a Thai lunch and 2 Tigers in celebration of my upcoming trip out east. We are doing comedy in acting this term so we did some clowning, some improv (I enjoyed that) and a bit of script work on the upcoming 'Laurel and Hardy' play on the man stage.
By the time I got home (a circuitous but quite quick trip on a #24 and a #31) the sun had returned and though windy it was pleasant enough to sit outside and relax before heading out to Choir tonight.
It is so lovely to see the sun, definitely cheers me up. I hope it stays.
