Slack Water

Marian drew my attention to the river view from our bedroom window. The water was so still and the reflections were lovely. It's known as slack water, when the tide is at it's highest (or lowest but it's not so noticeable then) and for a short time there's no movement either way in the tidal stream. I decided  I'd brave the gulls protests and put the drone up for a shot. I got it ready and sent it straight up. The gulls that are nesting on next doors roof ignored it at that height and I took a series of shots for a panorama. As I brought it down they got a bit more anxious and one of them buzzed it pretty close before I got it landed.

The last couple of days have been really lovely in the mornings but it's clouded over in the afternoon. We have a lovely evening now.

It's the Wide on Wednesday challenge (hosted by BobsBlips) and the theme this week is 'People'. I'm sure there must be people over there and Marian saw two people in the road pointing up at the drone but ... just admit it, David, you're off theme.
