Wood sorrel

Oxalis acetosella, Fairy bells, Wood sour or Cuckoo's meat this delicate beauty grows abundantly in old, undisturbed, damp and shady woods and hedgerows. The rather sour leaves are edible and close up at night. They have a high Vitamin C level and have been used to treat scurvy.
