Wednesday long walk
Today I braved going out with the Wednesday long walkers. I knew the route was relatively short - only 8.3 miles - and Tony said it was relatively easy.
The latter part of that statement of relativity was incorrect!
I love the moorland and we yomped over tussocks and we went up and downhill. Arth was not impressed. He had not recovered from the firm fingers of the physio yesterday.
PS Yesterday's was a backblip you might enjoy.
At first it drizzled and then we were treated to hot sunshine, then downpour after downpour. Just after the sensible walkers crossed the bridge, we sat down for lunch in the drizzle, that turned to rain.
After the next short burst of sunshine, the heavens opened! It was quite exhilarating but went on too long.
I will go and do the route again sometime, but not in pouring rain.
Dave and Chris were the ones who decided to cross on the stepping stones.
We were 16 or 17 walkers. Since this was not a Festival walk, no one counted!
