Sitting pretty!

Actually sitting on eggs! I was at Castle Espie again today,  another Generation Wild event, with a group of 31 children aged between 6 - 9. It's very noisy at Castle Espie at the moment,  and not because of the children,  it's all down to the colony of Black-headed gulls, many of them now nesting and sitting on eggs. There were 2 birds in thisparticulararea, which is very close to the path, an anxiety inducing position, and the 2 birds in the extra were slightly further away, on a tiny island in the pond.
