One flew the coop

I was climbing the ladder to take the daily pic of our crop of baby sparrows when one flew right out the nest and sort of fluttered to the ground. It tried flying but could not really get more than an inch off the ground, so it found refuge at the base of that tree. It’s about 3” long.
