The face of gratitude

I rescued this little beetle from the fire last night - he was stranded on a burning log, surrounded by other burning logs frantically trying to find a way off. I'm not great with bugs (but I'm even less great with watching creatures slowly burning to death) so it was a truly heroic act!
I went into the garden this morning and there he was, looking at me with a look of complete gratitude on his beardy little face.
This should be a beach blip, it's beautiful out there but there's things to be done
