Cowshed Cat

We lovingly call Aapo the cowshed cat, as he has some uncouth habits, especially those pertaining to the restroom. The pedigree of his breed, the European Shorthair, supposedly harks back to Roman Legions which brought their own cats along on their way north to keep mice and rats at bay. This breed was defined by fur colouring back in 1949. It can be said that they represent the creme de la creme of Domestic Shorthair cats.
