Formerly a posh bank, now the Cosy Club
with acres of dark polished wood, stern looking portraits of men, stuffed deer heads and even a peacock on the walls and a wonderful ceiling.
Most of the buildings in Corn Street, Bristol, were to do with trade and money. The Corn Exchange at the top end has two 'nails' upon which money bags would be placed in payment for goods - thus 'paying on the nail' or on time.
